We began a daily exchange of emailed letters about the first of April 2002 through an Agency named Bagira Agency or now called BagiStar Agency. Her letters were very nice at first and quickly progressed to romantically charged as I began to send money to the agency for services. I was informed by the agency of the services they offered. I was paying for unlimited monthly translation services, telephone translation services, and English classes through the so called agency at a discounted rate for two month periods. A total of $2040.00. I spoke with Olya on the telephone three times through a translator and confirmed her address by sending flowers through another source. I also provided money for some gifts and traveling expenses to see me for my planned visit last week on the 8th of July. All the plans of my visit were confirmed and planned with Olya, and her final email before departing assured me of all our confirmed plans and of the time of our meeting on the 10th of July, 2002. When I arrived in Kiev, Ukraine I was unable to contact her with the number she had given me for the agency where I had spoken with her before. We had planned to meet in Simferopol for a stay in Yalta. She was not on the train which arrived from Lugansk at the scheduled time of our meeting. I went to the hotel and had a young man working at the hotel find her telephone number through information and call her. He was able to get her on the phone and confronted her with the fact that I was there and waiting to meet her. She told him that she had no idea who I was and that she had never corresponded with me. I want to say that I was not a completely willing dupe, and that the letters which she sent me were extremely clever and could only be written by an experienced professional and criminal mind.

changed greatly. But I must to tell that there are a lot of good and
bad reasons under Communist rule. For example, people have money but
they could buy anything because in the shop there were no thinks to
buy. Now we have a lot of things to buy but there is no money. Now in
our country there is no order. Our government try to make our life
better but it is too slow. In our country all decisions make money and
power. Our government is not stable.
As for your questions I can tell that I like to wear different trousers
and sweaters. But sometimes I wear skirts. I do not like to wear dresses.
As for jewelry, I like to wear them very much. Especially gold. I like
to eat vegetables and different kinds of sea food, fruits. I like very
much tasty things: cakes, ice-cream, chocolate, sweets and so on.
I like three colors black, red and white. In the summer blue, pink. I am
175cm.
I like to travel very much. But it is very expensive. In my childhood I

with my parents was in many states of the Soviet Union. But I've never

culture. the Ukrainian people have the tradition to meet people with
bread and salt on a special towel rushnik. Embroidered towels of
different sizes.
The traditional embroidery is another distinctive element of Ukrainian
culture. Embroidered shirts called sorochki were traditionally worn
by both men and women. Each region of Ukraine has it's own highly
developed style of embroidery. I will tell you more if you want.
I agree with that I must to learn English. I want to learn it very
much. But this is a problem to me because I must pay for this. I do
not have money. In the agency there is good courses of learning English.
But it is not free. If I have such opportunity I will learn it with

everyday life and ceremonial occasions. I think that our culture has
more in common with Russia and Poland. As for languages If you know

Ukraine has also given the world many scientific minds. The scientific
activity and life of such outstanding scientists as Vernadsky,
Zabolotny, Bogomolets, Sklifosovsky. We can not help being proud of
Amosov and Filatov, the figures in the national medicine. I can talk

I received this letter the day of my departure from Washington, DC for our
planned meeting in the Ukraine. I did not agree to send money to her to
travel with a translator requested in the previous letter, although I was
obligated at this late date to send money for her transportation to meet me,
