MY STORY:

I was first contacted by the scammer on the 1st June 2002 who claimed to be an attractive young woman from Russia looking for a serious relationship outside of her own country.I was asked for my e~mail address to send her photo to and given an e~mail address to corespond with. (lenochka@female.ru)

At first I was reluctant to corespond with the scammer, as I had joined the website to find a relationship in my own city. I thought she seemed attractive enough, and I entered into a three month relationship with what I thought was an adorable young lady.

The scammers letters began with simple messages about money, such as how much she earns,the cost of the internet cafe` she claimed was writing from, how there are no phones in Russian homes, and how difficult it is without a car, etc.

Without knowing she was a scammer I eventually offered some small sums of money and sent her little amounts via Western Union, little did I know that by the end of three months I would be scammed of $3000 dollars. We often talked about her travel plans to visit me and I had become very confident that she would visit me on a holiday from the computer firm she claimed to work for.The scammer wrote me nearly every day for three months, and I believed every word.

I eventually offered to buy her an airline ticket, she insisted that her father had a friend in Moscow who could secure a seat at a less expensive price, and not knowing about scammers at this time I sent a large sum for a ticket and one day later I never heard from her again. It was one of the saddest days of my life when I became aware that this young lady did not exist at all. It was so easy to be fooled, the letters where full of what I thought where genuine feelings. This scammer used alot of psychology to convince me that she was genuine, and that she would soon visit me in my country.

I now know that what I thought was a young woman, is just a BS artist who scams lonely men for money. I regret every word I wrote and every picture I sent to the scammer, as I am a very honest man who was looking for a genuine relationship.

I last heard from the scammer only one day after I sent a large sum of money to secure her a visa and ticket 29th August 2002. I fell for what was so obviously a scam, but I had been convinced she was genuine, it might well be another man working together with others.

I do not know if you will help me, but I hope my story, and information I have supplied will assist others in avoiding this scammer.

You can see how I was captured by the fake charms, unfortunately I was not wise enough to see it was all false BS, and lies.
